The Feeling of Falling Behind (And Why It’s So Common)
First, comparison has a way of making us question our progress. Next, timelines—especially ones we didn’t create—can quietly pressure us. Also, social media often shows highlights, not the pauses, setbacks, or rest periods in between. In addition, growth doesn’t always look productive from the outside. Feeling behind doesn’t mean you are—it often means you’re evolving in ways that aren’t visible yet.
Growth Doesn’t Follow a Schedule
Real growth happens in seasons, not deadlines. Some seasons are about movement, while others are about learning, healing, or rebuilding. Growing at your own pace allows lessons to settle instead of rushing past them. Progress that’s rushed rarely lasts. Progress that’s intentional tends to stay.
